2016-17 Theme Hall Descriptions

Porter College offers a variety of themed halls for its new students in the A and B Buildings. While we also offer un-themed halls, our residents often find that they enjoy living with students with similar interests. Space is limited in our more popular halls, but we will try to honor each student's request. We recommend that if you strongly desire a particular theme hall then please state the reasons for your preference on your housing application.

The Arts Hall is for those students seeking to expand their knowledge and experience in the visual, performing, literary and film arts. Hall programming will be based upon developing one's creativity and in participating in various campus arts-based events. Residents do not need to be arts majors to live on this hall. While each room is single gender, the bathroom is open to those of all genders. If interested in this hall, please mark this preference on your housing application and list your experiences in the arts in your housing application self-description.
