You can reach your Porter College advising team in the following ways:
Staff Appointments
Appointments (Phone/Zoom/In-Person) can be made using the Navigate app. Be sure to select "Advising" to see available appointments with Porter College advisors. Detailed instructions are here.
If you're not currently enrolled, you'll need to call or email us to schedule an appointment; only active students can make appointments in the Navigate Slug Success app.
Please note that you'll only be able to see availability for appointments up to two weeks from now. We have appointments available every week except at the end of December when campus closes for winter curtailment, and we're looking forward to talking with you!
Peer Advisor Drop-in
Our Porter Peer Advisors can assist students with tasks like navigating the MyUCSC portal, enrollment (adding, swapping, dropping and editing courses), finding the best GE or elective course for their needs, and connecting them to other resources on campus, etc. You can find their schedule below:
ID Card Stickers:
You can pick up your sticker for your ID card at the Porter College office located in room D104 in the Academic Building. Usually open from 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM. Summer stickers can be picked up at Hahn, Room 257.
