Porter Posting & Tabling Procedure Guidelines

 

Public / Community Flyers

Porter College has one public bulletin board for public / community flyer posting. The public bulletin board is cleared every Monday during the Academic quarter.

University Academic, Administrative, or Registered Student Organization Flyers Only

Porter College has three bulletin boards for flyers for University sponsored programs and announcements.

Drop off three (3) copies of your flier to the Porter College Activities Office. Once approved, we will post your flyers for you.

All flyers must include:

• Event contact information, either e-mail or phone number for both information about the program as well as ADA accessibility (if applicable).

• Name of University Unit or Student Organization responsible for the program

Flyers in locations other than indicated above (walls, doors, restrooms, etc.) will be removed.

Window Posters (Porter/Kresge Dining hall windows)

All posters at Porter College must be approved and posted by the Porter College Activities Office. Bring your poster (one per program only, 38”h x 48”w maximum – landscape orientation) to the Activities Office for approval. Once approved, we will post your banners for you.

All Posters must include:

• Event contact information, either e-mail or phone number for both information about the program as well as ADA accessibility (if applicable).

• Name of University Unit or Student Organization responsible for the program

Unapproved posters will be removed.

Porter/Kresge Dining Hall

See “Window Posters” above.

Residential Areas (Porter “A” & “ B”, Apartments “E” - “H” and “I” Lounge Building)

Only Porter Activities or Residential Life Staff may post in the “A” & “B” Residence halls, on Apartment bulletin boards or in the “I” lounge. Please send or drop off 43 copies of your flyer to the Porter Activities Office for approval. Once approved, we will post the fliers for you.

Unapproved postings will be removed.

Informational Tabling

If you wish to table at the Dining hall please contact the Porter Activities Office Assistant College Programs Coordinator (ACPC) at PorterACPC@ucsc.edu.  Only University & Student Organizations may table at the Dining Hall. Informational tabling in other areas of Porter College may be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Commercial activity is not covered by informational tabling.

Chalking -- Activity or Advertising

Chalking is NOT allowed at Porter College without prior authorization by the College Administrative Officer, please contact the Porter Activities Office for more information.
